Complaint Procedure
On March 18, 1991, the Iowa State Utilities Board issued an order adopting rules requiring electric cooperatives to inform their members of an address and telephone number where a cooperative representative, qualified to assist in resolving the complaint, can be reached. If you have a complaint, you may reach a representative at Harrison County Rural Electric Cooperative, P.O. Box 2, 61 Fourth St., Woodbine, IA 51579, 647-2727 or 800-822-5591.
If your complaint is related to the Harrison County Rural Electric Cooperative (REC) service rather than its rates, and Harrison County REC does not resolve your complaint, you may request assistance from the Iowa Utilities Board by calling 515-725-7321 or toll free 877-565-4450; by writing to 1375 E.
