Load Control (Switch Makes Sense)

There are a number of qualifications that must be met before Switch Makes Cents can be connected at your residence.
If you wish to control only an electric water heater, we install a load control switch on your water heater free of charge and your electric bill will be credited $2.25/mo. There will be no sub-meter.
If you wish to control a water heater and air conditioning and/or heating system, you'd be responsible for the switching device and point of attachment for our load control switch. The costs for this installation can vary considerably from job to job, depending on your wiring and equipment. The pay-back is generally short due to the reduction of 40% on your heating and/or air conditioning bill. Wiring may be done by your electrician or Harrison County REC has electricians available to do the job at your request. If your wiring is done in advance we will install the load control switch and sub-meter at no cost to you.
An agreement form must be signed by the property owner and the person residing in the home before installation of the load control switch can be completed.
Our special rate applies only to water heaters, air conditioning and heating systems, never to the entire electric bill.
