Each month Harrison County Rural Electric Cooperative features a member from our lines. The power of community comes from people who live, work, and play here in our towns and we want to share the many stories that come from the 2,300 members that we serve.
Continental Carbonic Products, Inc. is a new member to the Harrison County Rural Electric Cooperative System. The Denison located company manufactures and distributes dry ice and liquid carbon dioxide. CCPI is also the nation's largest distributor of dry ice blasting equipment. While their newest Denison location has recently been opened as the first location in Iowa, the firm has a network 49 facilities nationwide and is headquartered in Decatur, Illinois.
Continental Carbonic Products sells solid dry ice blocks, cut blocks and pellets to the public at their locations and the dry ice can be used in a wide variety of ways including keeping perishable food fresh, educational experiments and more. In addition, dry ice can be used as a method of cleaning through dry ice blasting which uses dry ice pellets to blast away unwanted dirt or other material and leave a clean surface. Dry ice blasting is a non-toxic, non-abrasive, and non conductive cleaning option in lieu of other traditional blasting methods. It is frequently used in industrial applications including automotive, foundries, printing, electrical and more.
