Harrison County Rural Electric Cooperative CEO Announces Retirement

Harrison County Rural Electric Cooperative (HCREC) today announced that Joe Farley has decided to retire effective December 31st, 2024, and that in contemplation of his retirement, the Board of Directors has appointed Director of Operations Shadon Blum as Interim CEO until the new permanent CEO is selected.


The Board of Directors expresses gratitude to Joe for his contributions to the cooperative and years of service and looks forward to a seamless transition in leadership.


“Our commitment to providing reliable, affordable service to our members remains unchanged,” said Cooperative Board President, Tom Bothwell. “We have full confidence in Shadon and the management team to guide our cooperative through this transition.”
