Harrison County Rural Electric Cooperative is excited to announce that we are upgrading our Load Management system also known as “Switch Makes Cents.” These enhancements are part of our ongoing commitment to improving service and delivering greater value to our members.

Due to the scale and scope of this project, our dedicated member services team will be prioritizing their time and resources throughout the remainder of 2025 to updating existing switches. This will improve performance and enhance the load management benefit for our members.
Switch Makes Cents is one of the easiest ways for eligible members to become active in their cooperative and save money on their electric bills. Our load management program has been part of HCREC’s energy efficiency solutions since 1985 and helps to curb demand during peak times which in turn prevents the need to purchase power when it is at its highest price.
